Traffic Infractions Schedule of Judgments Pursuant to the authority vested in the Court to establish a Traffic Violations Bureau
(IC. 34-43-2-5), the Court now establishes its Schedule of Judgments to be
imposed for the following traffic violations when paid through the Traffic Violations

MOTORIST: You have been issued a Complaint and Summons which requires you to respond to the complaint. These instructions are provided to assist you in responding to the traffic complaint. You should be aware that your failure to respond will result in a suspension of your driving privileges by the Court and the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. The Complaint and Summons contains an appearance response date located near the bottom of the ticket. You must respond to the complaint, by contacting the Clerk of the Traffic Violations Office in person, by telephone (219) 668-1000 Ext. 2210 or in writing. Your response must be received prior to the appearance date. You may respond to the complaint in the following manner: 1. Admit: An admission to the allegations will result in a civil judgment/fine. You may pay the appropriate fine according to the schedule on the reverse side of this notice. In admitting the allegations in the complaint you must sign the reverse side of this notice. In admitting the allegations in the complaint you must sign the reverse side of the complaint, forward a money order, travelers check, certified check, or credit card, made payable to the Clerk of Steuben Superior Court at the address at the bottom of this card. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL OR BUSINESS CHECKS. To pay by Credit Card, call (888) 604-7888. 2. Denial: A denial to the complaint will cause the Court to set the matter for a bench trial. At the trial you will be given an opportunity to present your defense to the allegations made in the complaint. The Court will continue a trial date only under special circumstances. You must appear on the trial date. Call the Court Clerk at (219) 668-1000 Ext. 2300 if you have questions about a denial plea 3. Plea of No Contest: This simply means you neither admit nor deny the allegations. The State, however, is entitled to recover a fine in the amount listed on the schedule on the reverse side of this card. In submitting this plea you must sign the reverse side of the complaint, check the appropriate box, forward a money order, travelers check, certified check, or credit card, made payable to the Clerk of Steuben Superior Court. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL OR BUSINESS CHECKS. To pay by Credit Card, call (888) 604-7888. Failure to comply with these procedures will result in the Clerk of the Court certifying to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles our failure to appear or respond to the complaint which U result in the suspension of your driving privileges. In addition, if your home state is a member of the interstate Motorist Compact your driving privileges may be suspended in your home state as well. Actions of the Court regarding the issuance of this traffic complaint will be certified to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and do become a permanent part of your driving record.
